The dry winter air is most definitely not a friend to our skin. I always switch up my skincare routine during the winter to combat dullness, dryness, and chapped lips. Here are 7 products I’ve been using and loving!
1. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
I don’t know what I’d do without this product in the winter. I struggle with chapped lips all year round, but the dry winter air makes it so much worse. This lip mask is a thick, super hydrating formula that really works wonders on chapped lips – I put it on before bed and wake up with soft, repaired lips. I also sometimes wear it during the day, and it just looks like a gloss. I will never stop buying this product!
2. Vichy LiftActiv Supreme Night Cream
In the winter, our skin needs thicker, more moisturizing skincare products. I love this moisturizer because it’s very hydrating without making my oily skin greasy.
3. Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Our skin needs all the help it can get when it comes to moisture during the winter months. Hyaluronic acid attracts and holds onto moisture, so it’s essential for hydrated skin. HA actually occurs naturally in the skin, but after age 30 that natural production slows down. A hyaluronic acid serum is a must in my winter skincare routine, and I love that this one absorbs so well and is affordable!
4. Claudalie Brightening Moisturizer
I love this luxurious moisturizer! It contains niacinamide, which helps brighten and even out skin tone. If you struggle with dull skin during the winter like I do, I definitely recommend adding a product with niacinamide to your skincare routine!
5. First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads
I love these pads because they help exfoliate, tone and brighten without drying out or irritating your skin. I still only use these once a day, so I don’t over exfoliate. These pads would be great for acne prone skin as well!
6. Bioderma Atoderm
I recently developed eczema on my fingers, probably due to all the handwashing and sanitizing. I’ve tried many different creams, but this one has been the most effective by far. It repairs my flaky skin, and also helps reduce itchiness. Technically it’s a body lotion, but I use it mainly as a hand cream. I bought a huge pump bottle so I don’t have to worry about running out!
7. Tarte Banana Buffer Lip Scrub
It’s important to exfoliate in the winter, both to help get rid of dry flakes and allow moisture to penetrate into the skin. I love this lip scrub because it’s gentle and you don’t have to rinse it off (it just dissolves and leaves a tint behind!)
