How is beautiful October almost over!? Most of our leaves are on the ground now, I woke up to a dusting of snow, and the clocks are going to change in a few days (bleh). I feel like Arno and I really made the most of fall with all the leaf peeping, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brews, and spooky things, and I’m so grateful for that.
I’m about to start gearing up for all things holiday, but first I’d like to share some of my favorite things from October!
1. Abercrombie Asymmetrical Tan & Leopard Fleece
This fleece is what I’ll be living in all winter. It’s so cozy, it’s long enough for leggings but also cute with jeans, and I love the utilitarian meets feminine vibe. Of course I got the leopard print, but there are quite a few colors and patterns (including more leopard)! I sized up to a medium for length since I’m tall. The Spanx faux leather leggings are also TTS (wearing a small), and I linked super similar boots.
2. All The Leaf Walks!
As is evident in my IG feed, we’ve spent a lot of time outside just taking in the gorgeous fall foliage this month. I feel so lucky to live in a city with lots of trees, and in October they are just stunning. With how chaotic and overwhelming things feel in the world right now, time in nature feels like medicine.
My outfit details are linked below. I sized up to a M in the Amazon leopard cardigan, and in the lace cami. My jeans are TTS. These boots are a few years old, but I found a similar pair.
3. Vince Camuto ‘Arendara’ Snakeskin Ankle Boots
This is my second pair of these boots – I love them that much. I got the tan pair from the NSale and I’ve already worn them A TON, and I actually featured them in my September Faves post too! I walk a lot, and I’m blister prone, so when I find a good shoe I hold onto it for dear life. These boots have the perfect heel height and just get more comfortable with wear. I love that the snake print is more of a warm neutral than grey, and they add the perfect pop to a basic fall outfit! They’re also 40% off right now!
I have wider feet, so I sized up .5 in the boots. My jeans fit TTS, and I linked a similar sweater.
4. The Lazy Genius Podcast & Book
It is not hyperbole to say that Kendra Adachi is changing my life. I discovered her podcast only a few weeks ago, and I’ve been binge listening ever since. Her motto is “be a genius about the things that matter, and lazy about the things that don’t”. Instead of a long list of things you should do to make your life fit some sort of mold, she offers principles to help you figure out what matters to you and how to structure your life around that. She tackles everything from cooking, cleaning, planning your day, and self-care, to raising kids and dealing with 2020.
5. Abercrombie Puff Sleeve Cardigan
I’ve worn this cardi a ridiculous amount of times since I got it earlier this month, so it definitely deserves a place on this list. It’s the softest thing and has the perfect slouchy fit. I love the length too – long enough for leggings but still short enough to be versatile. It fits TTS, I have the small. The Spanx faux leather leggings are TTS, and I sized up to a M Tall in the plaid shirt.
7. Vichy Liftactiv Peptide-C Serum & Pureté Thermale Cleanser
I received these products compliments of Vichy, and I’m honestly very impressed! My skin looks brighter and more even, and my large pores have definitely shrunk. The Peptide-C serum is packaged in these pretty amber glass ampoules, and are hermetically sealed so they don’t need preservatives. I honestly was not a cleanser person (I always just used micellar water because I hate getting my face wet!) but this Pureté Thermale cleanser is changing that. The first time I used it, I was like “what pores!?” – It’s magical.
