Skincare Routine

I learned the importance of skincare from my lovely Mom, who always looks so radiant and glowy. My Mom also taught me how skincare is taking care of yourself, and giving yourself the message that you’re worthy of the extra attention. I love the confidence boost I get from my skin looking and feeling healthy, and the process of it is just a nice relaxing ritual to start and end the day with.

Morning

Step 1Bioderma Micellar Water

I start by cleansing with micellar water. It’s gentle and also removes makeup! I subscribe & save to this on Amazon, so I never run out of it.

Step 2 – Pixi Glow Tonic Toner

Honestly I was skeptical about toners at first, like what are they even for? This one is a gentle chemical exfoliant that leaves my skin looking and feeling refreshed. Also, since it removes any dead skin, the products you use after will absorb better!

Step 3 – Olay Whip Moisturizer

I love how fast absorbing and lightweight this moisturizer is! This is great if you have oily skin like me and struggle with moisturizers not sitting well under makeup. It also has SPF in it, which helps save a step and ensures that I always have some sun protection on my face.

Step 4 – OLEHENRIKSEN Eye Cream

This is hands down the best eye cream I’ve ever used. I have genetically very dark under eyes, and this cream has visibly brightened them. It’s also great under makeup: it absorbs quickly and primes the area.

It is pricey, which I find worth it since the results are so good. But if you want a more affordable option or your dark circles aren’t as bad as mine, I also really like The Ordinary Caffeine Solution

Night

Step 1 – Marcelle Cleansing Cloths

I love how convenient these are for removing makeup! They’re very gentle and don’t irritate my eyes at all, and also don’t leave an oily feeling like some other cleansing cloths do.

Steps 2 – 4

After removing my makeup, then I cleanse again with the Bioderma Micellar Water and then tone with Pixi Glow Tonic. Next I apply my Banana Bright Eye Cream and then my night moisturizer:

Step 5 – VICHY Liftactiv Supreme Night

This is a recent addition to my routine, but I absolutely love this moisturizer! It’s quite thick, so it’s perfect for the dead of winter when my skin feels parched. I have some fine lines at the corners of my mouth, and I’ve noticed they’re less pronounced since I started using this!

Masks & Treatments

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

If you suffer from dry or chapped lips, this mask is a must! It makes such a big difference and can even be worn during the day; it looks just like a light pink gloss. It is kind of pricey, but a little goes a long way so this little jar will last quite awhile.

Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot Treatment

A great spot treatment for blemishes that minimizes and reduces their lifespan. I wouldn’t use this under makeup though, because after awhile it does flake off.

Mario Bedescu Drying Lotion

This stuff is good for when you have a big pimple that’s um, basically ready to pop. I use it overnight and it really does dry them out and help them heal faster.

Vichy Clay Mask

Love this mask for clearing out my pores and leaving my skin super smooth. I put it on after cleansing, and follow it with moisturizer. I try to use this once a week.

L’Oreal Exfoliating Clay Mask

I use this mask less often, basically when my skin is feeling rougher and needs a more intense exfoliation. It’s got a bit of grit to it, and leaves skin feeling so soft.
