These easy Rice Krispie chocolates are one of my favorite Christmas traditions. I think my Mom found the recipe in a magazine in the 90s! We made them together every year when I was a kid, experimenting with different chocolate chips, and at some point they got the candy cane upgrade. Now, it just isn’t Christmas without these chocolates, and this is the first recipe I make every year! I love the sweet + crunchy combo!
This recipe is super easy, requires no baking, and is such a crowd pleaser! I shared these first on my Instagram Reels, but I thought the recipe needed to be on the blog too.
Ingredients:
- Chocolate chips (any kind!)
- Rice Krispies
- Crushed candy cane
How To:
- Melt the chocolate chips in a pot on the stove over low heat, stirring often
- Add Rice Krispies and mix until they are coated in the chocolate
- Spoon onto a parchment lined cutting board or cookie sheet
- Put in the fridge to cool
- Enjoy!
It’s that easy! It don’t measure out any of the ingredients – just eyeball it until you get the consistency you want. There are also so many options with all of the different chocolate chips available now! My faves are: white chocolate, milk chocolate, Reese’s peanut butter chips, and salted caramel chips. I always make a ton of these, so I store them in the fridge in a freezer bag or container. I love grabbing a variety plate and enjoying them with some hot chocolate and a Christmas movie!
If you make this easy Christmas recipe, please send me a photo, I’d love to see!
