Adidas sneakers are literally everywhere this spring, particularly Sambas and Gazelles and I’m definitely not immune to a comfy shoe trend. I decided to get a pair as a gift to myself for hitting 10k on Instagram and I ended up going with the Sambae because I just love the classic look paired with the translucent gum platform.
Adidas sizing can be confusing, so I went in store to try these on. I have wider feet with a high arch and am usually a 9.5 – 10 in shoes, and ended up getting a 9 in these. I’d say they run a little big but not as big as the Adidas Superstar (I wear an 8.5 in those). While in store I also tried on the Gazelle Bold and I found they were too narrow for me, so keep that in mind if you also have wide feet!
The Adidas Sambae were super comfortable right out of the box and the platform doesn’t make them difficult to walk in at all. The tongue is also soft leather, unlike the Gazelles, which I love. I’ve gone for several walks in them and they haven’t given me any trouble – which is saying a lot as someone who’s super prone to blisters! These are honestly the comfiest sneakers I own.
