As a Canadian girl, I spend a good chunk of each year having to bundle up. But even when it’s freezing outside, I still want to look cute! Finding winter coats that are both warm and stylish can be a challenge, so I’ve rounded up some of my favorites below. I’ve included the temperatures I wear these coats in to hopefully give you an idea of how warm they are.
This post is in no way sponsored by Abercrombie (I wish haha) – I just to really like their winter coats and jackets! The quality is amazing, and they’re warm without sacrificing style.
3-in-1 Convertible Winter Coat
The holy grail of winter coats IMO! It not only has removable faux fur lining on the hood, it also has a faux fur vest that can be zipped out, so you can really customize the warmth level. You can also wear the vest on it’s own! Wearing my normal size small and it fits perfectly. I love that it has a drawstring to cinch the waist and make it more flattering. With the vest zipped in, I’d be fine wearing this in in -20°C / -4°F.
Wool Blend Dad Coat
A long camel coat is a wardrobe staple, and this one feels fresh with the oversized fit and menswear vibe. It’s also so versatile – wear it with a sweater and jeans, dress it up, or throw it on over an athleisure outfit. I sized up to a medium to wear with thick sweaters, but if you don’t plan on layering up you could go with your true size. This coat is warmer than it looks, and I’ve been fine wearing it in -1°C / 30°F.
Sherpa Lined Military Parka
This parka, while warm, isn’t quite as warm as my black one above. But if it doesn’t get ridiculously cold where you live, this is the perfect winter coat! Abercrombie brings this coat back every year with slight variations – mine is from 2020 and fits TTS (wearing a small). I’m completely fine wearing this in -10°C / 14°F.
Vegan Leather Mini Puffer Jacket
This jacket is one of my favorite pieces in my closet! The vegan leather is beautiful, and it’s so flattering. I went up 1 size to a medium in order to layer with thick sweaters. This is another piece that Abercombie brings back each year, and my exact jacket is from last year. It comes in a bunch of different colors as well as in faux fur, sherpa, and plaid! I’ve been totally fine wearing this jacket in -5°C / 23°F.
